My seven year old daughter has been enjoying this PBS KIDS Playtime Pad+ 7 HD Kid-Safe Tablet. She enjoys watching her favorite PBS characters such as Daniel Tiger, Cat in the Hat and Pinkalicious to name a few. The tablet has apps that are educational such as math, science, reading and music. My daughter enjoys the games and videos which I do make sure she is not more than an hour so she gets a break. I like that this tablet has a front and back camera since my daughter loves taking pictures especially of our pets. This PBS tablet is easy to use and if you have a Google account you can download third-party apps. Overall this is a fun and educational tablet for kids.

Fun tablet for kids

The UPS man arrived with the PBS Kids Playtime Pad just as we were rolling down the driveway to embark on a 2 hour drive to the campground. Although we had to wait 6 hours before the battery charged before she could play with it, the anticipation was amazing. This pad made a rainy weekend stuck in a camper a miracle. Even though we had no Wi-Fi the games were very educational. It was easy to set up for us parents that are not that computer literate. My daughter LOVES it.

Perfect timing!

This PBS Kids Playtime Pad would be a great first device for any child. In today's world we can not be to careful about what our children are exposed to. The internet is a rabbits hole of information, some good, some bad. So this device is a life saver of sorts when it comes to protecting our little ones. I love all the options for different users in the initial setup. There are times when my husband and I use it and we can do anything we would normally do. Then I can sign out and hand it to one of my children and know that they can only see age appropriate information. All the preloaded apps, games and free television is just the best as well. My only gripe is I wish it had a better case to protect it from drops. But so far so good, at this price point we will probably just purchase one for each child eventually. There are certain times when this device is priceless. Like when I need to entertain my child so I can take care of important issues. I highly recommend this device to parents everywhere.

Great device

This is so fun with lots of games and PBS shows. This has 24/7 live channel built in stream, subscription free, for ages 2-10. The features are 7 inch he, Kidsafe Coppa certified, Android 8.1,front and back camera, 1.5 GHz Quad Core Processor, 1 GB ram, microsd slot, USB connection,. This has a short cord on the charger,this has a silicone case but it covers.the speaker and it's hard to hear it muffles the sound.One year limited warranty and three months accidental coverage. The battery wears down fast, The processor is very slow especially when running multiple apps. This does glitch out but it's fun and for the price it's worth it. It has math,social skills,science, reading and more.

Lots of cool games

My children love PBS shows, but we were not loading all the videos to their current tablet. This has so many videos all ready to view. They are good educational shows. I do not have to worry about the content. They enjoy watching videos on long car rides and their designated free time.

It has all their favorites! Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, Wild Kratz, and there are games for each show as well. You can also paint and practice taking pictures. This is very user friendly and easy to control as a parent. I don't have to worry about them getting into content on Youtube that is not child appropriate, as I can just shut it off. 

So, this is running a little slow, but I think that is because it is new and we are updating information as we go. Loading new games, new videos....I am hoping that this does not continue to lag once we use it more.

This tablet is loved by my children ages 5 - 8. I don't know how much longer my 8 year old will enjoy this as I feel he might be on the max age. But this could be used for children much younger as well. Love the safe fun toy!

Love all the videos

Cute tablet and really cute once it gets started up. But it's kinda slow on start up and children don't have that kind of patience. The response is slow when you go to put wifi in or type on its keyboard that pops up on screen. It is fine for children however it has many good things for kids and kids love pbs, games and cartoons.Keeps them occupied and helps them learn.Nice features and has a nice bumper case on it.I'm writing this review for the Walmart spark reviews program and recommend this tablet for the little ones.

Fun and cute

I like this and so does my almost two year old. It comes loaded with some apps and does have a goggle play so you can put more apps on. It has parent controls and some apps that can be blocked from your child and has a spot on the tablet for parents. It does take a memory card so you can add to it. The blue bumper part can come off. I do wish the sound was louder and when you are sitting beside the person who has it depending on how they hold it the person beside can't see the screen. It's a great first tablet for kids. They can watch pbs movies and play the games. YOU MUST HAVE WIFI. NO COMPUTER NEDDED.

Pbs kids tablets

This is a nice little tablet for smaller kids. You can connect to wifi and watch PBS kids shows. It also has some games on it you can play with the characters from PBS kids. It's not very big so its nice to keep in the car for like road trips. My 6 year old even enjoyed it and wanted to play with it. I dont see where you can download programs on it but maybe I just havent found that feature yet. I did have some issues getting on the app to watch the live shows because it kept saying it wasnt connected to the internet but my wifi was connected. Not sure what the issue was but it started working randomly after like 3 days. Battery life is ok bit could be better also. Overall I would say I recommend it as a starter tablet.

Nice for small kids

I got this tablet to entertain my children on a long road trip. It ended up making them more frustrated than anything. While I like that this tablet is from PBS and not going to have anything inappropriate on it, it just didn't perform well. They would be trying to play the games on it and it would just keep freezing and glitching. We have to keep restarting at many times because it freezes and just says loading but never loads. When it is working it has a cute collection of games related to popular children PBS TV shows. And if you are on Wi-Fi you can watch a short video clips and songs from shows like Daniel Tiger. I don't know if we got a glitchy one or if they're all like this but ours is just not performing that great. I do like the physical design of the tablet. It is easy for them to hold and with the bright colors it's hard to lose.

Cute design but runs slow

after complete set up it doesnt pull up games and load time is not ok! games dont even show up
